Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for the CXBT BEAM team to define competitiveness metrics and build models that forecast and explain them. You will translate business questions into defensible metrics and drive data-driven decisions for senior leadership.

You will productionize modeling pipelines with data engineers, mentor teammates, and deliver monthly analyses and narratives to CXBT and business leads. A strong business sense and model rigor are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD and 6+ years of data science experience.
• Proficiency with statistical modeling and machine learning methods.
• Experience with SQL and Python or R for large datasets.
• Ability to define metrics and KPIs from scratch and tie them to business decisions.
• Experience communicating results to senior audiences in writing.

Responsibilities

• Own the definition and evolution of BEAM's competitiveness metrics.
• Design, build, and validate models to forecast and surface shifts.
• Integrate third‑party panel data with internal signals for recurring reporting.
• Translate business questions into the right metric and model.
• Productionize analyses to run as recurring processes with data engineers.
