Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a data analytics professional to unlock data value in clinical development. You will lead analytics work with cross-functional teams, applying ML/AI to drive insights and ensure compliant, high-quality deliverables. The role emphasizes leadership, communication and rapid, data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities include prototyping, standardizing analytics, mentoring juniors, and collaborating to monitor trial progress while navigating regulatory guidelines and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, analytics, bioinformatics, data science or equivalent field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years analytics-related experience in clinical research including leadership competencies.
• Advanced proficiency in Python or R and statistical methods.
• Expert proficiency with visualization tools like Spotfire, Tableau or equivalent.
• Proven expertise with Machine Learning and advanced analytics techniques.
• Demonstrated effective communication of complex concepts.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with Cloud Computing environments (AWS, Azure) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design analytics work product and guide timelines.
• Lead design principles to ensure consistent analytics and optimized user experience.
• Develop prototypes, test methods and algorithms; apply ML/AI to create insights.
• Provide data-driven insights to support clinical development continuum.
• Ensure adherence to GCPs, ICH guidelines, AbbVie SOPs and quality standards.
• Identify business needs and support creation of standard KPIs, reports, and analyses.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Work with teams to evaluate clinical trial progress and manage emerging risks; apply ML techniques.
