Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance is seeking a Data Scientist / Senior Data Scientist to join the CAT E&A team. You will build models for natural catastrophes, cyber and other risks, evaluating vendor models and supporting underwriting decisions across multiple lines.

The role requires advanced degrees and strong analytics with Python, SQL and big data tools. It offers a competitive salary and annual bonus eligibility, with work in Atlanta, Boston or San Ramon.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
• Strong background in probability, statistics and stochastic processes.
• Experience with insurance risk modeling and catastrophe analysis.

Responsibilities
