Job summary

Harper Paige is seeking a mid-senior Data Scientist/Architect to support a Federal client in the Washington, DC area. You will join a collaborative team building AI/ML solutions and deliver data management, analytics, and visualization support for the program.

The role emphasizes developing frameworks, automating workflows, and communicating insights through visual analytics while maintaining data governance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience.
• 1+ years of SAS development.
• 2+ years working with object-oriented concepts in Python.
• Experience with SQL, SAS, Python, R, etc.
• Experience with HTML and XML.
• Agile scrum/Kanban experience.
• Ability to obtain a public trust.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use analytic tools to conduct complex queries.
• Proficiency in SAS and other tools in manipulating very large (1M+ records) datasets and conducting routine surveillance.
• Create methods to extract key points of information from structured and unstructured data.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, proposing and testing hypotheses to identify and combat fraudulent activity.
• Research and test logic to define meaningful metrics and alerts for fraudulent behavior or warning signs for fraudulent behavior.
• Use data visualization techniques and tools to communicate relationships within disparate data sources.
• Develops code, test, debug documents, and implement visual analytics into web applications.
• Familiarity with data management and data governance principles.
• Use judgement to prioritize goals and objectives between multiple priorities.
• Must be comfortable with ambiguity and willing to follow where the data leads.
