Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is seeking an Anti-Fraud Data Scientist to mitigate fraud, abuse, and policy violations on TikTok Shop. You will build risk scoring models, deploy end-to-end solutions, and work with cross-border data privacy standards to protect buyers, merchants, and creators.

The role emphasizes real-time analytics, scalable enforcement, and collaboration with global teams to balance security with user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data analytics, or engineering.
• Proficient in SQL and Python/R.
• 3+ years of relevant anti-fraud, risk management, trust & safety, data analytics, or data science experience in e-commerce or tech.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex exploratory data analysis to uncover fraud vectors and anomalies.
• Define risk metrics, dashboards, and real-time alerting for rapid threat response.
• Develop risk strategies and rules to mitigate fraud with low false positives and deploy real-time ML models.
• Use graph analytics, clustering, and entity-resolution to detect fraud rings.
• Design and evaluate A/B experiments to balance security, loss, and user friction.
• Leverage AI tools and LLMs to automate risk workflows and detection capabilities.
