TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is seeking an Anti-Fraud Data Scientist to mitigate fraud, abuse, and policy violations on TikTok Shop. You will develop risk models, dashboards, and real-time alerts to protect buyers, merchants, and creators while balancing customer experience and growth.

The role emphasizes cross-border data privacy, collaboration with global teams, and hands-on ML deployment in a fast-paced ecommerce environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in math, stats, CS, data analytics, or engineering.
• Proficient in SQL and Python/R.
• 3+ years of experience in anti-fraud, risk management, trust & safety, data analytics, or data science in e-commerce or tech.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex exploratory data analysis to uncover emerging fraud vectors, behavioral anomalies, and latent platform vulnerabilities.
• Define risk metrics, dashboards, and real-time alerting for rapid threat response.
• Formulate and deploy risk strategies and rules to mitigate fraud; develop real-time ML risk scoring.
• Leverage graph analytics, clustering, and entity-resolution to uncover fraud rings.
• Design and evaluate rigorous A/B experiments to measure security vs. user friction.
• Leverage AI tools to automate risk workflows and optimize detection.
• Partner on robust data pipelines to ensure cross-border privacy and compliance.
