Job summary

Sunfire Solutions in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Cleared Data Scientist / AI Software Engineer with TS/SCI to join a fast-moving engineering team. This expert role focuses on training, testing, and maintaining big-data analysis solutions for government and commercial clients, working closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical designs.

You will code primarily, design scalable architectures, mentor junior engineers, and drive automation and DevOps improvements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of demonstrated software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of AI/ML or data science R&D experience.
• Experience with ML tools (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn) and databases.
• TS/SCI security clearance (and active poly) required or in process.

Responsibilities

• Primarily code, analyze data, and provide technical solutions with a team of engineers.
• Write clean, professional code and encourage best practices.
• Design technical solutions from broadly scoped requirements.
• Identify technologies/stacks to meet client needs.
• Streamline processes for automation/DevOps.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
