Job summary

Independence Blue Cross (IBX) is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science and Machine Learning team. You will design, build, deploy, and monitor scalable ML/AI solutions on GCP, collaborating with data engineers and stakeholders to drive measurable business value.

You will mentor teammates, promote best practices, and advance analytics capabilities across the organization while tackling healthcare challenges with innovative AI approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field with multiple years of data science experience.
• Advanced degree preferred with substantial data science, ML, or analytics expertise.
• Experience delivering production ML/AI systems and collaborating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ML/AI development lifecycle from problem framing to deployment and monitoring.
• Partner with stakeholders to define problems and translate them into analytics solutions.
• Develop, evaluate, and optimize ML models using advanced stats and experimentation.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain production ML/AI solutions for scalability and reliability.
• Perform model bias audits and ensure fairness and governance alignment.
• Communicate results and recommendations to leadership and technical teams.
