Job summary

Team Velocity is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design, build, and productionize ML and AI solutions across marketing, engagement, and operations. This is a hands-on remote role with a strong emphasis on business impact.

This role requires leading end-to-end ML workflows—from data exploration to deployment, monitoring, and optimization—while partnering with Product, Data Engineering, Software, Analytics, and leadership to deliver measurable results in a remote, continental US context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Data Science or related field; master's preferred.
• 5+ years in data science with production ML and model deployment experience.
• Strong communication and ability to translate business problems into data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, evaluate, and deploy production ML models.
• Develop predictive models for churn, propensity, lead scoring, LTV, and recommendations.
• Perform statistical analysis, A/B testing, and time-series analysis.
• Build feature engineering, model training, and inference pipelines.
• Deploy and monitor ML models, including drift detection and retraining.
• Apply Generative AI and vector databases to business apps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior data scientists.
