Job summary

PACCAR Parts is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to grow our Advanced Analytics capabilities. You will build, deploy and manage AI/ML models using AWS, Snowflake, and Python while guiding a team of Associate Data Scientists.

You’ll lead data-driven initiatives across departments, present to senior executives, and mentor junior analysts to foster analytics maturity within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field required.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Associate Data Scientist required.
• Experience with SQL, Python, and GitHub required.
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised ML methods required.
• Experience with reinforcement learning, model stacking, and optimization preferred.
• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and ECS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an expert on PACCAR Parts data sources.
• Build and deploy advanced analytics solutions using AI, ML, statistics, or related concepts for business departments.
• Develop advanced analytics models including data used for model development and validation.
• Support production algorithms that use advanced concepts like reinforcement learning.
• Lead conversations with stakeholders to gather project requirements and information.
• Regularly present analysis, updates, and project solutions to leadership and key stakeholders.
• Support the development of other data analysts by leading trainings on SQL, Python, Tableau, and data analysis.
• Communicate complex topics clearly with multi-functional teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data needs and analytics best practices.
