Job summary

Russell, Tobin & Associates is assisting a leading consumer technology and financial services organization in hiring a Data Scientist III for a fully remote contract role. The position focuses on building production data pipelines, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled insights to support marketing and business decisions.

You will design and monitor end-to-end pipelines, create executive dashboards, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex results into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Advanced SQL and Python with production data pipelines.
• Experience in experimental design and causal or marketing measurement.
• Experience with Tableau/Looker and analytics platforms.
• Experience building LLM connectors or AI-agent data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and own production data pipelines ingesting AI-answer tracking, search, crawler, and API data into enterprise data platforms such as Databricks, Athena, and BigQuery.
• Establish governed, versioned metrics and executive dashboards covering AI presence, favorability, share of voice, citation performance, and answer accuracy.
• Develop LLM connectors, plugins, or MCP-style data-access tools with documentation, guardrails, query templates, and evaluation frameworks.
• Conduct rigorous analyses involving experimentation, seasonality, causal comparisons, retrieval/content diagnosis, and AI-search behavior.
• Translate complex findings into concise recommendations, dashboards, and executive-ready insights for senior marketing and business stakeholders.
