Job summary

IPI Technolab is seeking a senior Data Science/AI Leader to drive the design, development, deployment, and optimization of ML/AI solutions across the business. You will own the full DS lifecycle, mentor a diverse team, and collaborate with product, engineering, and leadership to translate requirements into data-driven outcomes.

You will develop advanced models for forecasting, classification, and anomaly detection, and lead Generative AI initiatives including RAG and embeddings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, data science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, AI/ML, or a quantitative field.
• 5–10 years of professional experience in Data Science, ML, AI, or a closely related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Scikit-learn and at least one deep-learning framework (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and/or AI agents is highly desirable.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of MLOps, Docker, CI/CD, model deployment, monitoring, and production ML systems.
• Experience with Spark, Databricks, data warehouses, or modern data platforms is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, or managing data science teams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, deployment, and optimization of ML/AI solutions for high-impact business problems.
• Own the end-to-end data science lifecycle from problem formulation to model improvement.
• Mentor a team of Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Analysts with best practices for experimentation and productionization.
• Develop advanced models for predictive analytics, forecasting, classification, recommendation, and anomaly detection.
• Drive Generative AI and LLM initiatives including RAG, embeddings, and AI-agent applications.
• Translate business requirements into data-driven solutions with Product, Engineering, and leadership.
• Establish ML architecture and MLOps covering deployment, CI/CD, governance, and monitoring.
• Work with large datasets using Python, SQL, Spark/Databricks and cloud data platforms.
• Define KPIs and measure business impact and ROI of data science initiatives.
• Present findings and risks to senior stakeholders and executives.
• Ensure models meet standards for accuracy, scalability, explainability, security, and privacy.
