Job summary

Datalign Advisory, Inc. in Boston seeks a Senior Data Scientist/Machine Learning Scientist to lead product-focused artificial intelligence initiatives and drive strategic decisions through advanced analytics and machine learning.

This role shapes how consumers connect with vetted financial advisors via a three-sided marketplace, using data-driven ML to improve matches and outcomes. The hybrid role requires four days in the office in Greater Boston.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
• MS with 6+ years of industry experience or PhD with 3+ years
• Entrepreneurial mindset with willingness to experiment and iterate quickly
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and distributed computing frameworks
• Deep understanding of ML algorithms, experiment design, and evaluation
• Strong background in product analytics, classifiers, recommendation systems, and personalization

Responsibilities

• Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover relationships and key features for decision making and model development.
• Develop and deploy ML models for production using CI/CD with software engineers.
• Define success metrics and evaluation frameworks for model and product performance.
• Innovate with latest generative AI and graph-based ML to improve processes and products.
• Contribute to architectural and code reviews to maintain the tech stack health.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to test high-impact solutions.
• Communicate complex data clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
