Job summary

Prominence Advisors seeks a Senior Data Scientist with deep experience in applied machine learning, statistical modeling, and generative AI to deliver advanced analytics for leading healthcare providers. You will design, build, and deploy models and AI-powered applications that improve patient outcomes, optimize operations, and accelerate research.

You will work with EHRs, claims data, and registries, translating complex results into actionable insights for clinical and operational stakeholders,

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of professional experience in data science, ML, or related quantitative role.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency for data extraction and manipulation.
• Hands-on experience building, validating, deploying ML models (classification, regression, clustering, time-series).
• Experience with MLOps practices (model versioning, CI/CD for ML, experiment tracking, monitoring).
• Practical experience with AI-powered solutions using LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and RAG pipelines.
• Experience with cloud ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, GCP Vertex AI, Databricks, Snowflake).
• Strong communication skills to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, validate, and deploy ML models across the life cycle (exploration, feature engineering, deployment, monitoring).
• Develop analytics solutions for clinical prediction, population health, and research enablement.
• Build AI-powered applications using LLM APIs, prompts, and RAG pipelines for workflows.
• Work with diverse healthcare data sources (EHRs, claims, registries).
• Translate analytical findings into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Document best practices and scalable frameworks for client engagements.
• Mentor client counterparts to sustain project deliverables.
