Fora is hiring a Senior Data Scientist in New York City to elevate product analytics and deliver AI-powered experiences for advisors and clients. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to define instrumentation, measure success, and experiment at scale.

As an early member of the Data Science & Analytics team, you will own experiments, build predictive models, and mentor teammates while shaping data practices with a pragmatic, business-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product data science or analytics, preferably at consumer or marketplace companies.
• Experience designing and analysing product experiments, including causal inference.
• Experience building predictive models and applying machine learning techniques.
• Advanced SQL skills; Python or another scripting language.
• Hands-on with a modern cloud data stack and data modeling best practices.
• Experience using LLM tools to accelerate analysis and prototyping.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills.
• Curious, pragmatic, collaborative and empathetic.

Responsibilities

• Lead deep analyses of product usage and advisor behavior that shape product features and roadmap prioritization.
• Own the full lifecycle of product data—from instrumentation to actionable insights—partnering with data engineering.
• Design and analyze experiments across core product surfaces and define best practices.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and design to develop roadmaps and measure success.
• Build models to predict user behavior and deliver personalized product experiences.
• Mentor peers and raise standards across the data team.
