Job summary

Spring Health is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to lead the analytical strategy for Spring Practice within the Care group. You will own end-to-end analytics, develop advanced methods including AI and predictive modeling, and drive experiments to improve member and provider experiences and care coordination.

The role is fully remote with occasional travel, reporting to the Manager, Data Science, and collaborating with product, design, and engineering to shape the data-driven roadmap.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional data science experience.
• Hands-on experimentation and quasi-experimental methods.
• Proficiency with SQL and Python.
• Experience with data modeling via dbt or similar tools.
• Experience with data visualization and BI tools (Omni, Hex).
• Experience with product development and the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to guide and make recommendations to business partners.
• Proven ability to incorporate AI as a tool to solve complex business problems; including prompt engineering for LLMs.
• Proven ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous problem areas and learn new approaches.
• Willingness to travel (at least 2 times per year).

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical strategy for Care to improve engagement and outcomes.
• Design and execute rapid experimentation to test and scale improvements.
• Serve as embedded data scientist within the Care pod, aligning with product and design.
• Work with multi-source datasets for feature engineering and insights.
