Navan, a leading AI-powered business travel and expense platform, seeks a hands-on Senior Data Scientist to shape analytical tooling, models, and actionable recommendations that improve traveler experiences and business decisions.

You will lead projects from discovery through delivery, partnering with Engineering to deploy AI-enabled solutions and surface insights from pricing, resource planning, and operations. Strong Python/SQL skills and a background in statistics are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data science or related quantitative roles.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with real-world data ML solutions.
• Background in statistics, mathematics, economics, or related quantitative discipline.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in research and software development.
• Applied experience with statistical modeling, forecasting, and experimental methods.
• Proven ability to collaborate with business and technical teams and communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities in pricing, resource allocation, and operational efficiency using quantitative models.
• Design analyses and experiments to understand customer behavior and evaluate initiatives.
• Build reusable data-science solutions in Python and SQL from exploration to production.
• Develop forecasting and scenario models to support planning and decisions.
• Build AI-enabled analytical applications with Engineering on deployment and monitoring.
• Explore data to surface patterns and explain performance to stakeholders.
