Job summary

Bluehawk, LLC is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to develop and evaluate AI/ML capabilities that support operational decision-making in a secure environment. The role requires on-site work at the DIA Government SCIF in Reston, VA, with active TS/SCI CI Polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities include applying AI to align with priority information, developing predictive models for collection and mission planning, and collaborating with software engineers on prototype development and deployment.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in data science, ML, AI, predictive analytics or related field.
• Proficiency with Python, R, or similar languages and ML frameworks.
• Experience developing, validating, and assessing predictive/ML models with complex data sets.
• Understanding of data prep, feature engineering, model evaluation, automation, and production integration.
• Ability to explain methods, assumptions, performance, and limitations to audiences.

Responsibilities

• Apply AI/ML to identify and prioritize essential information aligned with national priorities.
• Develop predictive models for collection management, resource optimization, and mission planning.
• Implement ML methods for pattern recognition, anomaly detection, forecasting, and decision support.
• Support automation of tasking processes by aligning collectors, sources, and mission requirements.
• Establish feedback to refine tasking and strategies using real-time data and iterative learning.
• Collaborate with software engineers on AI/ML prototype development, integration, deployment, and sustainment.
• Prepare, cleanse, transform, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Conduct model validation, performance assessment, error analysis, documentation, and monitoring.
• Brief stakeholders on model performance, risks, and implications.
• Apply responsible AI practices per DoD AI Principles and security/data governance.
