Job summary

Two Six Technologies is seeking an experienced Data Scientist or Senior Data Scientist to join cross‑functional product teams and deliver AI‑powered insights for national security and government clients. You will work autonomously to solve challenging data problems, apply agentic and generative AI, and partner with product, engineering, and customer teams to evolve solutions in real time.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Physics, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or similar; higher degrees preferred.
3+ years experience in a Data Science role (or 1+ with a PhD).
2+ years of Python programming experience (intermediate+).

Responsibilities

Turn abstract customer needs into concrete data science/engineering problems.
Experiment with solutions to develop high quality prototypes.
Collaborate with engineering to turn prototypes into production‑level software.
Work on agentic systems; design prototypes and evaluate effectiveness.
Lead projects spanning statistics, math reasoning, business communications and software development.
Contribute to the product roadmap at near‑term and long‑term levels.
Experiment with data science techniques to produce insights across ML, NLP, and visualization.
Design and execute experiments to evaluated data sampling/collection strategies.
