Base-2 Solutions in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Data Scientist to advance national security objectives through big data and predictive analytics. You will analyze results, disseminate findings, and contribute to actionable intelligence insights while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a flexible, hybrid work setting.

You will design and optimize a Search and Discovery platform, explore novel data sources, and translate complex analytics for non-technical leadership.

Qualifications

• BS in a quantitative field or related Master’s
• 4+ years in data science or analytics; 2+ years with Master’s
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
• Experience with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch/Kibana)
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative software practices
• Security clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, network engineers, investigators, managers, researchers, and analysts to design, build, and optimize a Search and Discovery platform.
• Identify novel data sources to improve predictive algorithms and enable adoption of analytics platforms.
• Analyze results, disseminate findings, and communicate insights to non-technical audiences.
• Support multiple projects, conducting mission-relevant discoveries independently and with teams.
• Engage in co-development to reuse team products.
