Job summary

A leading company in media measurement is seeking a seasoned Data Scientist to enhance their Activation business by extracting valuable insights from diverse data sources. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop algorithms, models, and technical documentation, playing a key role in data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

  • 4-6+ years of related experience with a focus on statistical methodology.
  • Ability to work under little supervision, but accountable for producing high-quality results.
  • Experience developing Machine Learning algorithms - Clustering and Classification.

Responsibilities

  • Produces innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis.
  • Builds a wide variety of models from simple regression to neural networks.
  • Writes well documented reports including visualizations.

Job description

Location: Reston, VA or Remote (East Coast)

About This Role:

The landscape of media consumption, programmatic advertising and consumer privacy is changing rapidly. Comscore's fast-growing Activation business, Proximic, needs a seasoned Data Scientist to help build bring new products to the market by extracting valuable information from large and diverse data sources. Information extraction will then be used to classify, predict and explain consumer interests useful for adverting. A Senior Data Scientist works with the broader Analytics team, as well as Product and Engineering teams, to produce algorithms, models, and tools for organizing, analyzing, and measuring data through visualization tools, reports, technical papers, patents and other means for conveying analysis results.

What You'll Do:

Produces innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from complex and high dimensional datasets

Build a wide variety of models ranging from simple regression to neural networks leveraging LLM embeddings

Takes a project from prototype phase to full-scale production in coordination with data engineers

Writes well documented reports that include visualizations for Product and Marketing groups

Participates as a senior member of cross-organizational teams that investigate new technologies and uses cost-effectively

Develops and files patent disclosures

What You'll Need:

4-6+ years of related experience with a focus on statistical methodology

Ability to work under little supervision, but accountable for producing high-quality results

Ability to conduct complex work that is critical to the organization and contribute to measurable team and/or organizational objectives

Programming experience in R, Python, Scala or SQL as well as Big Data Analytics using Spark or Snowflake

Experience developing Machine Learning algorithms - Clustering and Classification, as well as AI model Embeddings

Familiarity with programmatic advertising, free ad-supported TV, as well as differential privacy or secure multi-party computation

Experience in clearly articulating analysis results to both technical and non-technical team members

Compensation: $120K - $140K; Commensurate with experience.
