Job summary

The Content Intelligence team at Walmart—VIZIO is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to develop, validate, and deploy scalable data models that drive strategic business decisions. You will source data across domains, ensure quality, and translate requirements into data-driven solutions.

You will collaborate across functions to improve model performance, communicate insights with clear visualizations, and mentor junior colleagues while contributing to Walmart’s data-driven initiatives in Seattle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in analytics related field.
• Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 year experience in analytics related field.
• Option 3 - 5 years' experience in an analytics or related field.

• Experience mentoring junior associates and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver impactful business results.

The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $216,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications

• Option 1- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field.
• Option 2- Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 years' experience in an analytics related field.
• Option 3 - 5 years' experience in an analytics or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Data science, machine learning, optimization models
• Master’s degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics
• Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R
• Using open source frameworks (for example, scikit learn, tensorflow, torch)
