A seed-stage startup is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to integrate and develop recommendation models using their innovative platform. The role involves working closely with customers to solve ranking challenges, contributing to product development, and utilizing advanced machine learning techniques. Ideal candidates should have a strong foundation in data science, experience with recommendation systems, and proficiency in Python and SQL, among other qualifications.
Shaped is an API for developers to seamlessly add personalized ranking and recommendation into their products. These frictionless discovery experiences help end-users find what they want faster, and, consequently, grow conversion and engagement business metrics.
Ultimately, our goal is to make AI accessible and we see machine-learning for discovery (e.g. TikTok For-You Page, FB News feed and YouTube What to watch next) as the best place to start.
Shaped is a seed stage start-up backed by top investors (e.g. Y-Combinator, Susa Ventures, Tribe Capital etc) and executives (e.g. Google, Amazon, Uber, Dropbox etc). Our team comes from Meta, Google, Apple and Uber. Were remote but have an office in Brooklyn, New York.
Job Description
Were looking for a Senior Data Scientist to help customers integrate and develop recommendation models using the Shaped Platform. Responsibilities include connecting external data sources to Shaped, creating ranking models with our declarative SQL interface, and helping customers achieve their business objectives.
As a founding Senior Data Scientist, you'll collaborate with a diverse range of customers to solve their ranking challenges. Additionally, you'll contribute to shaping our product roadmaps and engineering culture.
