As part of the analytics team at Verikai, you will work directly with real customer issues and the data they generate in real time. Your responsibilities include analyzing large-scale datasets and witnessing your analysis being leveraged by customers to create tremendous value. You will have opportunities to train with senior team members on various data tools, manipulate our machine learning platform, and improve it to build insightful, operational models. Responsibilities

  1. Develop advanced machine learning algorithms to enhance our proprietary modeling platform, extracting greater value from data for our customers.
  2. Refine and tailor our machine learning algorithms to fit various customer scenarios and our strategic vision.
  3. Identify and expand core data assets by exploring new data sources like the US Census Bureau, and validate their usefulness.
  4. Use tools such as PySpark, R, Python, or Excel to clean customer data in preparation for analysis and modeling.
  5. Conduct descriptive and statistical analyses to identify valuable patterns that inform customer business decisions.
  6. Prepare and deliver presentations or materials to demonstrate insights and educate customers on our methodologies.
  7. Present findings, models, and insights to customers as a technical expert, industry insider, and company ambassador.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science, with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  2. Experience handling large datasets and creating models to solve real-world problems; experience with insurance data is a plus.
  3. Deep knowledge of statistical modeling, including parameter tuning and model evaluation.
  4. Proficiency in Python or R, with familiarity with PySpark and Excel.
  5. Strong analytical thinking, independence, and scenario analysis skills.
  6. Creative, open-minded, and positive attitude in facing challenges.
  7. Self-motivated with a willingness to conduct independent research and pursue meaningful progress.
  8. Attention to detail and a sense of ownership over your work.
  9. Effective communication skills to explain complex statistical concepts to diverse audiences.

  1. Adhere to all security and confidentiality policies, including proprietary information, acceptable use, access control, and data management policies.
  2. Make conscientious decisions regarding information sharing, considering security and confidentiality policies.
  3. Be available during local business hours and respond promptly to requests outside those hours as needed.

Salary Range: $154,000.00 - $174,000.00
