Job description

About the Role

Collaborating with brands, digital, product managers (PdMs), technical project managers (TPMs), brand marketing, and information technology (IT) teams to identify and translate high-impact business opportunities into analytic frameworks that direct machine learning model development, drive business requirements and support impact measurement plans. Leading and mentoring a team of data scientists and data engineers to build analytical capabilities. Building, validating, and maintaining complex AI (machine learning and deep learning) and statistical models for production and ad-hoc business-focused analysis. Proactively identifying data needs and opportunities. Contributing to inventory management and customer growth investments through the development of cohort-based predictive models on a large scale to support applications such as tops-down forecast, customer propensity to purchase, lifetime value (LTV), category affinity, product and style recommendations, price elasticity, inventory management, and queueing. Building and applying generative artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to generate product attributes and summarize reviews to drive customer engagement and business value. Surfacing creative tactics to diagnose performance and identifying areas where performance is optimal or can be improved upon, using visualizations to tell the story behind the machinery to our stakeholders to drive strategic adoption, results, and recommendations. Continuously researching and working to integrate emerging methodology, technology, coding, and version control practices that best fit the team and practice. Synthesizing findings, preparing presentations, and assisting in presenting findings to all levels of management; and documenting process design opportunities. Telecommuting permissible from any location within US.

Salary Range: $188,885 - $266,000. Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.

What You'll Do
  1. Demonstrated ability to design, build, and deploy end-to-end machine learning solutions, from data preprocessing to model training and evaluation. Experience with various ML frameworks and libraries.
  2. Artificial intelligence concepts, algorithms, and techniques, and a proven track record of applying deep learning to solve complex business problems.
  3. Hands-on experience with GenAI tools and technologies, such as GPT for creative applications like fashion design, product descriptions, or personalized recommendations.
  4. Proficiency in applying statistical methods to assess the performance of machine learning and AI models and ability to analyze results and draw meaningful conclusions.
  5. SQL skills for querying relational databases and extracting relevant data for analysis and model building.
  6. Apache Spark for large-scale data processing and distributed machine learning model training.
  7. Software development skills, including knowledge of algorithms and design patterns, and ability to write clean, maintainable code and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust AI solutions.
Who You Are

Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Electronics Engineering or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in Data Science or related role or in the job offered.
