Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Global Payment Network Data Solutions and Modeling team. You will drive NLP and ML models across billions of records to enable smarter payments decisions and customer experiences.

You will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, ML engineers and product managers to deliver AI powered products, deploying models at scale and communicating insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience performing data analytics with open source languages.
• Hands-on machine learning experience across projects.
• Proficiency with relational databases and SQL.
• Strong programming skills in Python/Scala/R and open source tools.
• Experience with AWS cloud services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI powered products.
• Leverage a broad stack (PyTorch, AWS Ultraclusters, Hugging Face, LangChain, Lightning, VectorDBs) to extract insights.
• Serve as NLP expert to tune LLMs for customer facing features.
• Build ML and NLP models end-to-end from design to production.
• Translate complex work into tangible business outcomes.
