Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Science for US Card Resiliency Intelligence in Cambridge, MA. You will lead a cross-functional team to build and deploy ML models using Python, Spark, and AWS across billions of records to personalize financial solutions at scale.

You’ll drive model development from design through validation, partnering with engineers and product managers to align technical work with business goals and customer impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field plus 7 years of analytics experience
• At least 2 years of experience leveraging open source programming languages for large scale data analysis
• At least 2 years of experience working with machine learning
• At least 2 years of experience utilizing relational databases

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver a product customers love
• Leverage a broad stack of technologies — Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and more — to reveal insights from large data
• Build machine learning models through all development phases from design to implementation
• Translate complex work into tangible business goals with strong communication
