Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Senior Leader to provide independent review and challenge of Operational Risk across risk categories. You will oversee First and Second Line activities, lead risk assessments, and guide strategic risk decisions while engaging senior stakeholders across the bank.

The role requires extensive leadership, risk management expertise, and strong analytical capabilities to navigate regulatory expectations and drive risk-informed actions within a large financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent review and challenge of Operational Risk elements across risk categories.
• Analyze operational risk data to identify trends and emerging risks.
• Assess processes, systems and controls for risk likelihood and impact.
• Monitor internal and external sources for potential Operational Risks.
• Oversight of 1st Line activities (RCSAs, Risk Events, Issues) and attend Risk meetings.
