Job summary

American Century Investments is seeking a Senior Data Quality Engineer to join the Data Management team in a hybrid role based out of Dallas, TX or Kansas City, MO. This hands‑on position focuses on cloud‑based data quality, designing enterprise data quality frameworks, and delivering trusted data across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years in data quality engineering, strong AWS, Snowflake, and Datadog experience, and proficiency in Python, SQL, and BI tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in data quality or data engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud‑native services, Snowflake, and Datadog.
• Proficiency with Python and SQL.
• Advanced data governance principles and practices.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across an organization.
• Ability to work independently and in an Agile team.
• Experience building strong business partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end data quality solutions in the cloud using AWS technologies.
• Design and maintain a scalable data quality platform leveraging AWS, Snowflake, Datadog, and BI tools.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues by reviewing reports, KPIs, and trends.
• Apply advanced analytics to diagnose root causes and anticipate risks.
• Develop and deliver clear reports and insights for management and stakeholders.
• Partner with engineers and business leaders to drive governance improvements.
