American Century Investments is seeking a Senior Data Quality Engineer to join our Data Management team in a hybrid role based in Kansas City, MO or Dallas, TX. The role focuses on designing and delivering cloud-based data quality solutions to ensure trusted, reliable data across the organization.

This hands-on position requires strong AWS, Snowflake, and Datadog expertise, plus proficiency with Glue ETL, Tableau, and PowerBI, and advanced Python and SQL skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in data quality engineering or data engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud-native services, Snowflake, and Datadog.
• Proficiency with Glue ETL, Tableau, and PowerBI.
• Advanced experience with Python, SQL, and data quality automation.
• Solid understanding of data governance principles and practices.
• Strong analytical, data exploration, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.
• Ability to work independently and in Agile teams.
• Demonstrated experience building strong business partnerships.
• Demonstrates the American Century Investments Winning Behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data quality solutions in the cloud using AWS technologies.
• Design and maintain a scalable data quality platform leveraging AWS, Snowflake, and BI tools.
• Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve data quality issues by reviewing reports and KPIs.
• Apply advanced analytical techniques to diagnose root causes and anticipate risks.
• Develop and deliver clear, actionable reports and insights for management.
• Partner with engineers, developers, and business leaders to drive process improvements and governance strategies.
