Akkodis is seeking a Senior Data Quality Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Seattle, WA /Santa Monica, CA/New York, NY(Hybrid). You will be responsible for building automated data quality tests and ensuring the accuracy of large-scale data pipelines through rigorous validation and defect analysis.

Rate Range: $75/hour to $83/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Data Quality Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Design, build, and maintain automated data quality tests for ETL pipelines and large-scale data systems using Python.
• Validate data transformations and ensure accuracy across data warehouses and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and product teams to understand business logic and translate it into test requirements.
• Diagnose data issues, report defects, and implement regression tests to prevent recurring problems.
• Continuously improve quality processes and contribute to the development of internal testing frameworks.
• Mentor junior test engineers, sharing best practices in data validation, automation, and test coverage expansion.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in validating ETL pipelines and data warehouses.
• Strong proficiency in Python for building automated data quality tests (preferred over Scala).
• Expert-level SQL skills and experience working with large datasets and modern data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or Hive.
