Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in Houston seeks a Sr. Specialist Solutions Architect for Data Protection.

You will lead complex client engagements, architect encryption, key management, and secrets services at scale, and drive data protection strategy across AWS services. You will collaborate with product teams and customers to translate field insights into security-first guidance, staying ahead of evolving threats and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience across technology domains (security, cloud, infra, data & analytics).
• 3+ years of design/implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex data protection engagements with enterprise customers and AWS data protection services.
• Design encryption architectures including hybrid/multi-cloud and post-quantum planning.
• Secure AI workloads with data protection architectures preserving confidentiality and access control.
• Capture field needs and translate into product requirements to shape the roadmap.
• Provide security expertise for AI deployments, ensuring compliant and trustworthy solutions.
• Stay current on AI security threats, post-quantum standards, and data sovereignty rules.
• Create and deliver trainings, workshops, and conference presentations on data protection.
• Collaborate with service teams and AWS community to share technical insights at scale.
• Author best practices, reference architectures, and prescriptive guidance.
• Build relationships with AWS Partners to design integrated architectures.
