Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Staff Engineer - Data Protection in McKinney, TX to lead enterprise data protection design, implementation, and governance. The role emphasizes encryption, PKI lifecycle, TLS 1.3, and DLP within a compliant security program.

You will partner with Legal, Compliance, and Enterprise Architects to align security with business objectives, while mentoring engineers and ensuring regulatory readiness across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Cybersecurity with at least 5 in Data Protection/InfoSec engineering.
• Hands-on PKI, certificate management, TLS/SSL, and encryption tech.
• Experience with DLP tools such as Zscaler, Forcepoint, Trellix, or equivalents.
• Knowledge of document retention and secure destruction integrating with legal/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design/implementation of enterprise data protection (encryption, DLP, secure data lifecycle).
• Drive PKI & Certificate Management including rollout and lifecycle automation.
• Develop TLS 1.3 roadmap: assessment, compatibility, migration strategy.
• Collaborate with legal/compliance on retention and shredding policies.
• Act as SME for data protection across teams and leadership.
• Integrate Zscaler DLP and other tools into workflows.
• Oversee multiple data protection projects; ensure audit readiness.
• Provide mentorship and create operation documentation.
