Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Manager Data Protection to lead the enterprise data protection program, across discovery, classification, DLP, information protection and lifecycle governance. You will manage Purview, policy standards, and enterprise risk with HR, Legal, and Compliance partners.

Key duties include implementing labeling taxonomy, tracking KPIs, and coordinating with IT and business units to strengthen data security postures globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, CS, or cybersecurity; master’s preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in information security with 3+ years in data protection.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Purview and 365 platform components.
• Experience in regulated environments (SOX ITGC, GDPR, CCPA).

Responsibilities

• Own and develop Mohawk’s enterprise Data Protection program.
• Maintain roadmap aligned with MIPF, CIS Controls, and NIST CSF 2.0.
• Track KPIs and report to leadership including CISO.
• Set data protection policies across regions and units.
• Operate Purview across information protection and DLP.
• Lead taxonomy design for sensitivity labeling in Microsoft 365.
• Tune DLP policies for endpoints, cloud, email, and collaboration tools.
• Integrate Purview with Defender XDR, Entra ID P2, and SIEM.
• Oversee data discovery across on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Build adoption through training and governance.
