Job summary

The Doctors Company in New York City is seeking a Senior Data Products & Decision Intelligence Engineer to join our hybrid team, ideally located in NYC. You will partner with underwriting, claims, patient safety, actuarial, and operations to design, build, and operationalize data products and AI-enabled decision-support workflows that improve patient safety and risk management.

The role blends hands-on engineering with architecture and leadership, mentoring junior engineers and shaping

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, Data Science, or related field.
8+ years in data engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering, or decision intelligence.
5+ years designing and supporting production-grade data products or enterprise software.

Responsibilities

Design, build, deploy, and support production-grade data solutions for priority stakeholders.
Partner with underwriting, claims, patient safety, actuarial, and operations to solve problems.
Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and clear plans.
Lead as principal technical contributor on complex initiatives requiring rapid prototyping.
Own delivery quality for decision intelligence products from discovery through production support.
Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering standards.
