Job summary

Independence Pet Holdings seeks a Data Product Manager to own the roadmap, backlog, and lifecycle of enterprise data products such as Policy360, Claims360, and Finance Analytics. You will translate business needs into clear product requirements, collaborate with engineering and analytics teams, and drive measurable adoption and value across the organization.

You will partner with the Data Solutions Strategy team to ensure governance, data quality, and alignment with the enterprise roadmap.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in data, analytics, product management, or solution delivery roles.
• Experience defining, managing, or owning data-centric products or platforms from requirement through adoption.
• Strong understanding of data management concepts — including data modeling, quality, governance, lineage, and data contracts.
• Familiarity with data tools (Azure, Azure DevOps, Databricks, Power BI) with exposure to policy administration systems a plus.
• Ability to write clear product requirements and user stories for technical delivery teams in Agile/scrum environments.
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for assigned data products from intake through delivery, adoption, and retirement decisions.
• Translate framed initiatives into product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering delivery.
• Align product development with business demand, governance standards, and data architecture roadmap.
• Collaborate with Head of Data Strategy & Planning and Data Architects to deliver integrated data solutions.
• Maintain data product documentation including contracts, SLAs, ownership, and classification standards.
• Manage backlog prioritization and work with delivery teams to optimize sequencing.
• Define adoption KPIs and track usage to measure business impact and ROI.
