RLI in Peoria, IL is hiring a Senior Business Analyst to join the Data Product Management team. You will collaborate with the Data Product Owner, Technology Delivery, and business stakeholders to translate workflows into actionable requirements and enable modern data capabilities.

The role emphasizes governance, data quality, and backlog prioritization, leveraging Snowflake, SQL, Power BI, and BI tools. A collaborative, hybrid work environment is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, analytics, computer science, or a related field.
• Typically four or more years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or similar role.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs for technical delivery teams.
• Experience supporting users of reporting, analytics, data, or enterprise technology solutions.
• Experience working with Agile delivery teams and backlog management tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Data Product Owner to propel future‑state data and analytics, providing analysis, requirements, and readiness recommendations.
• Engage users to understand business objectives, workflows, and underlying data needs beyond the initial request.
• Translate business needs into actionable solutions with user stories, acceptance criteria, and report specifications.
• Support backlog grooming by analyzing business value, user impact, dependencies, risks, and readiness.
• Coordinate analysis and progression of Data & Analytics support requests, maintaining clear communication and escalation as needed.
• Identify recurring needs, data quality concerns, and opportunities for enablement or modernization.
• Create reusable knowledge articles and decision guides for common support needs.
• Maintain an inventory of legacy reports and processes under consideration for modernization.
