What you will accomplish in this role

As a Digital Transformation and Innovation Sr Data Product Analyst, you will be responsible for defining core processes, systems, and implementing innovative technical solutions within HCA Healthcare in support of the Payer Revenue and Encounter Financial data product domains. Payer Insytes Data Products will serve as a secure, unified platform for contract, payment, pricing, and market intelligence data, enabling faster, more informed decision-making across the healthcare revenue ecosystem. By consolidating fragmented payer and financial data sources, the platform will empower negotiators, pricing analysts, data scientists, risk management, and legal teams with actionable insights that support payer negotiations, revenue forecasting, reimbursement optimization, and cost-margin analysis.

The Senior Payer Revenue Data Product Analyst position within the HCA Data Office, is responsible for ownership and support of the Payer Insytes Data product. The primary function of this role is to serve as Product subject matter expert, and liaison between DT&I and business partners in support of Payer Revenue analytical and application initiatives. This role is responsible for analyzing and understanding the HCA GCP product ecosystem, collaborating with the Payer Revenue Product Owner to implement the strategic vision, roadmap, and feature priorities, and creating measurable business value through timely delivery of scalable and new capabilities within the data product.

DT&I’s mission is to deliver innovative technology solutions that transform healthcare administrative and revenue cycle operations, improving financial performance, operational efficiency, and the overall patient financial experience across HCA. In this role, you will support the modernization of Payer Revenue and Patient Financial Services processes through data-driven insights, intelligent automation, and scalable analytics solutions. By enhancing payer reimbursement workflows, financial transparency, and revenue optimization capabilities, you will help drive more informed decision-making and stronger operational outcomes across the organization.

What you will do:

Product Development

• Partner closely with Analysts, Architecture, Engineering, Data Science, and other cross-functional teams to translate product vision into actionable plans, user stories, and technical requirements as well as drive adoption and usage of the Payer Revenue domain and Encounter Financial products through effective marketing, training, and support initiatives.
• Define detailed key results to support pod objectives; perform analyses as needed for OKR measurement.
• Support product owner in day-to-day tasks, particularly around sprint management
• Assist with material collation and analysis in preparation for product demos, quarterly business reviews, and other report-outs for the pod
• Work with Product Owner to develop Objectives and Key Results; define measurement strategies for key results (e.g., how to collect data, source system identification) and set measurement methodology
• Partner with Project Management and lead agile product development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management, to deliver high-quality features and enhancements.
• This role will resolve issues through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies collaborating with subject matter experts.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner with product delivery teams to ensure alignment with quarterly business reviews, objectives, and key results
• Work with Data Governance Pods to ensure alignment on Metadata Management and Data Quality.

Analysis and Reporting

• Assist with material collation and analysis in preparation for product demos, quarterly business reviews, and other report-outs for the pod
• Use statistical tools and data visualization techniques to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
• Create comprehensive documentation and presentation materials (including process flows, product feature details, and user guides or explanations)
• Collect, analyze, and interpret product performance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Performs other duties as assigned

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics, or related field Required
• Master's degree in a relevant field Preferred
• 5+ years of experience in the use case domain area, with strong communication (verbal, written) skills. Strong problem solver with experience in both technical and functional areas required
• Minimum 2-3 years of leadership, team lead, project management, or people management experience in healthcare, analytics, or revenue cycle environments.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, product delivery processes, and data governance practices preferred
• Experience supporting enterprise data products, healthcare data platforms, reporting solutions, or analytics initiatives within payer revenue or patient financial domains preferred.
