Job summary

vTech Solution is seeking an experienced Business Analyst 3 to independently manage complex tasks, bridging business stakeholders with IT teams in enterprise environments. You will analyze processes, document BRDs, and support data governance and reporting initiatives across large gov/enterprise settings.

Responsibilities include elicitation, mapping, data profiling, and collaboration throughout the SDLC to ensure high-quality requirements and test scenarios for UAT.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in business or data analysis in enterprise IT or government settings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements following formal SDLC processes.
• Expertise in business process analysis including current-state and future-state process flows and data flow diagrams.
• Proficiency in data analysis, profiling, validation, and documentation of data elements and business rules.
• Extensive hands-on experience writing and interpreting complex SQL queries for data analysis and validation.
• Proven ability to engage with business stakeholders through workshops, interviews, and facilitated sessions.
• Experience translating business requirements into functional/data requirements and BRDs for technical teams.
• Ability to define and document business measures, metrics, KPIs, and collaborate on report specifications and data sourcing.
• Experience performing gap analysis between current and desired future-state business processes and data.
• Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and developing test scenarios and cases.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs to align with overall business strategies.
• Perform business process reengineering and identify new technology applications to improve business effectiveness.
• Prepare solution options, risk assessments, and financial analyses including cost/benefit, ROI, and buy/build decisions.
• Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and development/modification steps for computer programs.
• Conduct requirements elicitation, business process analysis, data profiling, source-to-target mapping, and data validation.
• Develop and document BRDs, functional requirements, business rules, KPIs, data dictionaries, and data lineage.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and reporting teams throughout the SDLC.
• Support data governance, perform gap analysis, and assist with UAT including test scenario and test case development.
