Job summary

Ascensus, the leading independent technology and service platform for savings plans, seeks a Senior Business Systems Analyst (Data Platform) to bridge business and technical teams. You will define data requirements, maintain data dictionaries, and ensure governance across enterprise data assets in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Min 10 years as a Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Product Owner, or similar.
• Experience translating business needs into enterprise-scale data requirements.
• Strong experience with enterprise data platforms (Oracle, Azure, Informatica).
• Ownership of a data dictionary and/or business glossary.
• Knowledge of data governance, source-of-truth concepts, and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead elicitation, analysis, and documentation of data-related business requirements for enterprise data initiatives.
• Translate business needs into data elements, metrics, transformations, and access patterns.
• Own and maintain the enterprise data dictionary and business glossary.
• Partner with Data Architects and Data Engineering to reflect requirements in models, integrations, and pipelines.
• Document end-to-end data flows and lineage from source systems to downstream consumers.
• Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and data delivery teams.
• Support backlog refinement and prioritization to ensure actionable requirements.
• Identify and remediate data quality issues.
• Reinforce data governance standards and approved access methods.
• Participate in design reviews, planning sessions, and cross-functional groups.
• Support regulated fintech use cases including auditability and security.
