Job summary

Ascensus, a leading technology and service platform for savings plans, seeks a Senior Business Systems Analyst (Data Platform) in the Boston area. You will partner with stakeholders and data teams to translate business needs into governed, usable data definitions and pipelines, owning the data dictionary and governance standards.

You will drive end-to-end data flow documentation, collaborate across architecture and engineering, and ensure compliance with regulated financial data handling.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data-focused roles (BS/BA or higher preferred).
• Proven ability to translate business needs into enterprise data requirements.
• Experience with data dictionaries, glossaries, and governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead elicitation, analysis, and documentation of data-related business requirements for enterprise data initiatives.
• Translate business needs into data elements, metrics, hierarchies, transformations, and access patterns.
• Own and maintain the enterprise data dictionary and business glossary.
• Partner with Data Architects and Data Engineering to reflect requirements in data models, integrations and pipelines.
• Document end-to-end data flows and lineage from source systems to downstream consumers.
• Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and data delivery teams; resolve conflicts.
