Job summary

Ascensus, the leading technology and service platform powering savings plans in the U.S., seeks a Senior Business Systems Analyst (Data Platform) in Denver. You will bridge business and technology to define data requirements, governance, and trust in the enterprise data platform.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, data architects, and data engineers to shape data models, pipelines, and metadata, ensuring regulatory compliance and secure handling of confidential data across our fintech

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data-focused roles such as Business Systems Analyst or Data Analyst.
• Experience translating business needs into enterprise-scale data requirements.
• Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, and source-of-truth principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead elicitation, analysis, and documentation of data-related business requirements for enterprise data initiatives.
• Translate business needs into data elements, metrics, hierarchies, transformations, and access patterns.
• Own and maintain the enterprise data dictionary and business glossary.
• Partner with Data Architects and Data Engineering to reflect requirements in data models, integrations, and pipelines.
• Document end-to-end data flows and lineage from source systems to downstream consumers.
• Serve as primary liaison between business stakeholders and data delivery teams.
• Support backlog refinement and prioritization for data initiatives.
• Identify and remediate data quality and access issues.
• Reinforce data governance standards and approved access methods.
• Participate in design reviews and cross-functional working groups.
• Support regulated fintech data use cases and secure handling of confidential data.
