Job summary

Calendly is seeking a Senior Manager for its Data Platform to lead strategy, architecture, and analytics delivery. You will guide cross-functional engineering teams, partner with product analytics, security, and AI/ML teams, and drive reliable, scalable data infrastructure that powers Calendly’s scheduling platform for millions of users.

You’ll mentor engineers, shape the team’s growth, and own execution from design through production, ensuring high standards, governance, and self-service

Qualifications

• Experience leading data and analytics engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, batch/streaming pipelines, governance, and observability.
• Excellent communicator with a track record of delivering large data platform projects.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the long-term strategy for Calendly’s data platform and ecosystem.
• Build a scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient platform supporting analytics, ML, and operational reporting.
• Drive modernization across ingestion, transformation, governance, and observability.
• Develop internal platform capabilities for analysts, data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams.
• Ensure data discoverability, governance, lineage, and quality; promote self-service tooling.
• Recruit engineers and people leaders; manage hiring across the organization.
• Mentor and develop team members; align with product and security stakeholders.
• Ensure SLAs are met and systems scale with the business; anticipate upcoming needs.
