Job summary

NVIDIA’s DGX Cloud organization seeks a Senior Data Platform Engineer to build shared data infrastructure for decision making across engineering, operations, finance, security, and product teams. You will own end‑to‑end platform domains, evolve batch/streaming data pipelines, and guide cross‑team initiatives.

You will mentor senior engineers, enforce engineering standards, and design scalable data models and interfaces.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant industry experience with a Bachelor’s or equivalent experience, and a Master’s degree or equivalent in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on ownership of production software, data platforms, databases, or distributed systems across multi-system domains or cross-team initiatives.
• Experience with distributed processing, analytical or relational databases, production ETL, change-data capture, streaming or event processing, or backend/cloud systems handling large data volumes.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and production proficiency in a backend/systems language with data-processing libraries; ability to craft reusable abstractions and review changes.
• Strong SQL and data-modeling skills including query execution, incremental processing, schema evolution, and data correctness across systems.
• Ability to diagnose failures using logs, metrics, traces, and experiments, then implement durable fixes.
• Strong architectural judgment balancing reliability, performance, cost, security, and maintainability; experience guiding migrations without production impact.
• Experience establishing production safeguards: automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, rollback, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Define and guide the technical vision for a DGX Cloud Data Platform domain, overseeing architecture, interfaces, scale, security, and cost.
• Lead cross-team delivery, translate requirements into architectures, coordinate implementation, write critical code, and secure production integrations.
• Architect and evolve batch and streaming systems for fleet, capacity, utilization, cost, and telemetry across environments.
• Build shared platform capabilities—libraries, orchestration abstractions, tooling, and standards to improve delivery speed and reliability.
• Serve as technical lead for production investigations across pipelines, apps, query engines, distributed processing, storage, and cloud services; drive durable resolutions.
• Establish engineering standards for automated testing, data quality, lineage, observability, security, and auditable deployments.
• Define data models, ownership boundaries, and interfaces; provide tables, APIs, automation, dashboards, and internal apps for trusted data access.
• Provide leadership through architecture reviews, mentorship, and evidence-based decisions to raise engineering quality across teams.
