Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on backend data engineering with production systems.
• Deep PostgreSQL: schema design, migrations, performance, HA, PITR.
• BigQuery mastery: partitioning, clustering, BI Engine, cost control.
• Python as primary language in serverless, event-driven apps.
• GCP depth: IAM, VPC, secrets, data lakeware and infra-as-code.
• API design for REST/GraphQL with multi-tenant security.
• Security by default: secrets management, row-level security, least-privilege.
• AI-native tooling usage (Claude) for design, coding, and docs.

Responsibilities

• Own the backend data infrastructure and data warehouse architecture.
• Design and maintain APIs, data contracts, and cross-system data flows.
• Mentor engineers, review code, and drive best practices across teams.
• Collaborate with offshore teams and ensure scalable, secure data platforms.
