Job summary

Horizon3.ai is seeking a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and own the data platform underpinning our production pipelines. You will expand our data capable stack across warehouse, orchestration, and BI reporting to support multi-region deployments.

The role requires 7+ years of data engineering or backend experience, strong SQL and Python, and expertise with distributed systems, batch vs streaming, and event contracts. A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Qualifications

7+ years of professional experience in data engineering, infrastructure engineering, or backend software engineering.
Strong SQL and Python, with solid data-modeling skills and experience owning production data infrastructure end to end.
Deep understanding of distributed systems and data architecture, including batch vs. streaming, CDC, event contracts, and observability.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain business-critical data pipelines, including ingestion and AWS Glue/Spark jobs feeding the warehouse and BI/reports.
Build and operate core data infrastructure: the data warehouse, orchestration, and BI/reporting platform, deployed across multiple regions.
Define and evolve warehouse schemas and data models; evaluate lakehouse strategies with Databricks.
Drive cross-team collaboration, own outcomes end-to-end, and ensure observability across pipelines and platforms.
