Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Software Developer, Data to join a remote-first team in the Finance & Insurance space. You will build and strengthen the data platform supporting analytics, partnering with data, engineering, and technology stakeholders to improve tooling and deployment workflows.

The role emphasizes secure, scalable data assets and efficient developer experiences, with a focus on CI/CD, IaC (Terraform), and cloud data warehouses. Remote US-based candidates considered.

Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma in a relevant technical program (Engineering or Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in data platforms or infrastructure.
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift) and Terraform for IaC.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python).
• Experience with data ingestion tools such as Fivetran or Airbyte.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain internal tooling for the data team, including CLIs and observability dashboards.
• Deploy the conversational analytics product infrastructure, focusing on CI/CD.
• Manage Snowflake infrastructure as code using Terraform, with performance tuning and access controls.
• Extend and improve the data catalog to ensure data assets are trustworthy and discoverable.
• Own data quality infrastructure with testing and monitoring frameworks.
• Develop CI/CD workflows for dbt model deployment and data quality checks.
• Establish reproducible development environments for team efficiency.
• Collaborate on designing the data platform architecture aligned with security and scalability standards.
