Job summary

Weave is seeking a backend/data platform engineer to design and build core data platform components that enable orchestration workflows and scalable data processing. You will develop resilient services for data integration, event processing, and platform extensions, and help evolve product capabilities handling large data volumes.

You will work with experienced teams to translate business goals into engineering plans, write high-quality code, and operate in a hybrid cloud environment across

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Go, Java or Python (Go/Java/C/C++ is a plus).
• Experience moving and storing TBs of data or hundreds of millions of records.
• Understanding of distributed systems and building scalable, observable services.
• Expertise with messaging systems and NoSQL technologies (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub, Bigtable, Spanner, etc.).
• Experience running on one or more public clouds (AWS, GCP).
• Experience with infrastructure as code and highly available systems.
• Bias for action, collaboration, and ability to execute in enterprise-grade production environments.
• Strong technical aptitude and execution mindset, with data-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop core data platform components for enabling business process orchestration and workflows.
• Build scalable, resilient services to support data integration, event processing, and platform extensions.
• Contribute to the evolution of product functionality serving large data volumes and traffic.
• Write high-quality, performant, sustainable, and testable code with accountability for quality.
