Job summary

EA Risk seeks a data platform lead to own and evolve our emerging data platform, collaborating with the CTO, stakeholders, and an implementation partner. You will help shape a lakehouse approach using Databricks and define how data assets power reporting and AI-enabled product capabilities.

You will ensure governance, data quality, and secure access while extending the platform as new data sources arrive, maintaining reliability and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating production data pipelines and modern data platforms.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in a language used for data engineering, such as Python.
• Understanding of data modeling, orchestration, testing, and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to evaluate technical proposals and work with an external delivery partner.
• Ownership mindset for reliability, usability, and operating costs.
• Current use of AI tools in your work.

Responsibilities

• Define platform requirements and guide the implementation partner.
• Create a sustainable internal ownership path with documentation.
• Develop and maintain integrations across systems and datasets.
• Build reliable pipelines and datasets for reporting and applications.
• Establish data quality, lineage, monitoring, and recovery processes.
• Collaborate with business owners to align definitions across systems.
• Implement data access and governance with IT and security.
• Expand platform with new data sources.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate engineering while validating outputs.
