Job summary

N-iX is hiring a Senior Data Platform Engineer to architect and operate data infrastructure across a hybrid cloud stack (AWS + GCP). The role is hands-on, embedding into a client squad as an Individual Contributor, with a focus on IAM, observability, and cost optimization across data lakes and analytics workloads.

You will work with BigQuery and AWS data lake patterns (Athena, S3, Glue) and collaborate with cross-functional squads to raise output and pattern adoption across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience with hybrid cloud environments (AWS and GCP).
• Hands-on data platform engineering, IAM, observability, cost optimization.
• Proficient in Python.

Responsibilities

• Architect and operate data infrastructure across hybrid cloud (AWS + GCP).
• Manage IAM/access management and cost optimisation.
• Maintain observability across the data platform.
• Work with BigQuery and AWS data lake patterns (Athena, S3, Glue).
• Multiply output and quality of the squad and share patterns beyond the team.
• Embed directly into a client squad as an individual contributor.
